In this competitive world Pangu is a one of jailbreaking teams among the jailbreak community. And Pangu team is a Chinese team and they are the people who develop Pangu Jailbreak tools such that install Cydia on idevices (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch). It means that when the jailbreak process is done, users can bypass the device restrictions then enable root access on iOS. Then user has ability to install third party applications and make changes to do customizations which can not do with Apple store.

Pangu team has released several jailbreaking tools to the public; at the begin, from iOS 7.1 to iOS 7.1.X are jailbroken by Pangu team on 23th June, 2014 for all Apple devices including Apple TV 4. As the beginning of Pangu released version v1.0.0, there is a chinese app store (25PP) which is cracked promising to install if the user will not uncheck that come as checked in default. However 25PP has removed in the next version v1.1.0.

For the initial version v1.0.0, Pangu used Stefan Esser’s paid security together with other jailbreakers. From the next version Pangu replaced Esser with another person which could found vulnerable on behalf of Pangu.

Pangu 8 Jailbreak

This is the pangu jailbreak tool that released Pangu in order to jailbreak iOS 8.0 to iOS 8.1, which is free of charge on 22nd October 2014. Now Pangu8 available for both English and Chinese which have capable to jailbreak iPhone 6, 6 plus, iPad mini 1, mini 2, mini 3 also iPad Air 1, Air 2 running on iOS 8.

Pangu 9 Jailbreak

By this pangu jailbreak tool can be jailbroken iOS 9.0-iOS 9.1 and this is the latest version that pangu has released to the public on 14th October 2015. Pangu 9 is available in English version that has capable to jailbreak 64 bit idevices for both OSX and Windows. So, with this Pangu 9 release Cydia with Pangu instead of Pangu app which was used for previous releases.

Since Apple patched those exploits that used for iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak, still there is no any acceptable tool released to Jailbreak iOS 9.3.4. If you are already using a jailbroken iDevice on iOS 9.3.3 or lower, better not to upgrade them to iOS 9.3.4.

According to the rumors the Pangu team is working for jailbreak iOS 9.3. Also Apple just released their iOS 10 beta, so wait for iOS 10 and iOS 10 jailbreak update as well.
